Getting Started
Put a note to work with sources, Collections, and agents.
What you told Jackdaw during setup is the first layer of your workspace. Start with one real plan or decision in the Wiki, then let sources, Collections, and agents make that context more useful.
Start with a Page
Open the Wiki and choose New note or page. Write down something you want another person or AI to understand: what you are trying to do, what has been decided, and a constraint they might miss. A project, family plan, or ongoing goal all work.
For example:
“The Northwind rollout is waiting on a security review. Maya owns the remaining accounts; do not schedule them until the review is complete.”
Then ask Jackdaw's assistant, “What is the plan for Northwind, and what is blocking it?” Your Page gives it a starting point. The notes are yours to edit, and the people and agents you authorize can use the relevant context. Using the Wiki covers Pages, links, and editing.
Connect the sources around it
Open Connections and start with a place where this work changes: email, calendar, chat, documents, GitHub, GitLab, or Linear. Jackdaw connects related evidence to the people and projects in your Wiki and surfaces useful changes for review in the Inbox. Your Page's prose remains yours.
The rule is We save what you tell us. We ask about what we figure out. Identity details and conflicts still wait for your review. Connect sources and review captures when you are ready.
Give your lists a home
Under Pages, create a Collection for any kind of thing you track: customers, vendors, books, equipment, or something specific to your workspace. Choose what each row represents, then add fields and filters. The Collection is a live view of those records, so a change to a record follows it wherever it appears.
Use a Calendar Page for dates and events. For a task workflow, create a blank Note and change its page type to Kanban.
Give an agent a job
Open Agents and describe the help you want, or start with a role and shape it into your own. Give the agent a standing duty that repeats or a mission with a finish line, along with the tools and boundaries it needs. It can work from the relevant Wiki context and bring decisions or consequential actions back to you. Build an agent when there is work you want it to carry forward.
If you already use another AI, connect it under Connections → AI Assistants or via MCP.
