Connect Sources
Pull in your data so Jackdaw can build an accurate model of who you are.
Jackdaw builds your knowledge graph from the sources you connect. The more you connect, the richer the context — and you stay in control of what goes in.
How to connect
- Open Jackdaw and click Add data sources on your Context page.
- Pick the source you want to add.
- Depending on the source, you'll authorize an OAuth flow or turn on a local source in the desktop app. (Importing AI chat-history export files is coming soon — see below.)
- Jackdaw runs an initial sync in the background. Depending on the source, this can take a few minutes.
Cloud connectors (one-click)
These connect straight from the Connections screen — authorize once and Jackdaw keeps them synced.

On your Mac (desktop app)
These read data that lives on your computer. They need the Jackdaw desktop app and macOS Full Disk Access — nothing leaves your machine unless you turn it on.
- iMessage — your message history
- Apple Notes and Apple Contacts
- Safari and Chrome — browsing history
- Local Codebase — your project files
- Cursor and Claude Code — your AI coding sessions
AI chat history (file import)
Coming soon. You'll be able to export your chat history from ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and bring it into Jackdaw — it extracts the durable facts and drops the rest, so you get the signal without flooding your wiki. This one isn't live yet.
What happens after connecting
After the first sync, Jackdaw extracts structured facts — relationships, preferences, projects — and stores them in your knowledge graph. They show up in your wiki and are available to any AI you connect.
Cloud connectors stay live and sync incrementally as new data arrives.
Privacy
- Disconnect any source at any time; that stops future syncs.
- You choose what goes in — connect only the sources you want Jackdaw to see.
- Your data is never used to train models or shared with third parties.
